I got my [renewed] membership kit from Green America the other day and inside they had a great “mini tri-fold” that I can carry around with me in my purse. It had several lists and the ‘10 Things’ was one of them. I love this organization because they are so passionate about educating consumers. Here’s their list of
10 Things You Should Never Buy Again:
- Styrofoam cups
- Paper towels (OK, I’ll admit…I buy recycled ones…but breaking this habit is brutal)
- Bleached coffee filters
- Teak and mahogoany
- Chemical pesticides and herbicides
- Conventional household cleaners
- Toys made with PVC plastic
- Plastic forks and spoons
- Farm raised salmon
- Rayon
